Implementing Video into Blogs- VLOG

Hello class

I hope that everyone has had a great week.  I'm excited for our class today, as I warned you... we will be discussing media tools especially the use of videos.  In preparation, for you making your own video introduction this week,  I want to introduce you to another helpful website that can provide a lot of information on social media topics, especially pertaining to blogs.

Please read this brief article that outlines the pros and cons of incorporating video into your blog.

http://www.dailyblogtips.com/the-pros-and-cons-of-using-video-in-your-site-or-blog/

We'll talk  a lot more in detail today in class... see you soon!

Hi Jeannette,

Finally I created my VLOG,, and
posted it on my blog.
Actually, this is my first time to create my self-introduction video.

I'm not sure if I followed the right way which you led.

Honestly, it was a tough work for me because I didn't know what my history was the best to introduce
me by myself.

My challenges were that I explained my job experience simply and correctly and I expressed
my natural character without inflated self-image.

I enjoyed to reexamine myself, so this was a good chance for me and my future.

Thanks,

Have a great day & see you on Wednesday!!

Hi dr.G

It's a really nice practice to create my own VLOG to introduce myself.

I think the hardest part of this assignment is that it may be made like a day-to day account without any fun.I really want to talk more enjoyably.

And I like to share my working experiences in my vedio.Cause it is a very meaningful part of my life.

Thanks!Hope to see you tomorrow in the class.

Hi Jeannette,

Create a self introduction in video was my first time, and it was not so easy. I had to do a self introduction during an interview few months ago for my actual job and I think I was feeling a little bit more comfortable even though there were 3 interviewers. Maybe the fact to be alone in front of the camera make the exercise more challenging.
However, I enjoy trying and I am sure it will be better next time : )
Thank you
Gwen

Hi Dr G !

As for a lot a lot of my classmates, this was the first time I had to create a self presentation video.

I finally did it, but it was a very tough work for me. At the beginning, I wanted to do it with a friend because I thought it would be easier. But actually, even if it was difficult, it was a little bit easier to do it alone, because you're not distract by your friend and can focus better on what you're doing. Well, that what I felt.

The big challenge for me was to try to not say word for word my text...really hard !

Finally, to be honest, I'm not really convinced by what I did, but I'm sure next time will be better !

See you tonight !

I think it's really hard work for me to create my own VLOG.i didn't have a lot of experience, and what's more,i don't like to be exposed by the camera.
But from it,i think i know more about myself,moreover,i found that i really experienced a lot of things,but i didn't realize it~~
thanks~~

Here is the link of my Vlog.
To speak fluently when I am facing the lens is really not easy. I was wondering why my video script was so long.
It is said that practice makes perfect To introduce myself needs effort as well.

Hi Jenn,

Thanks for the Tip !

I just uploaded my new elevator Speech, it was a little bit complicated at the beginning, espacially dealing between the timing and everythings that I wanted to say !

I chose to be concise, as we saw in other elevator speches !

I really enjoyed doing that and I hope that you will find it ok !

Have a good day, see you in class!

I have to preface by saying I'm the person behind the camera, not in front of it. Though this was a good learning experience it was also a torturous one. There is something very different about talking about yourself to a live person than filming yourself.

I kept having to start over because I would talk to fast or realize after viewing that my expressions were a little off. I ended up falling short of the required time because I had difficulties talking about myself. It's not as easy as one may think.

Yes, i think i it is hard to create the vlog. Hardest part of vlog is making my own video but i think it is fun

Hi Jeannette!

It was very weird to look at myself in the video camera! I laughed a lot when my friend was taking the video. Anyway it was funny and good experience:)

Hello
I uploaded my VLOG!!!
It was hard to express myself. It was a good time by taking a look at myself.

Thank you. :)

I thought that making a video is hard but finally it's pretty easier. But it was hard to make the montage... 1 hour!
It was funny because I was with madjid. Things are more funny when we are with someone. We need a little bit more time because we laugh when the other make a mistake or when we aren't concentrated. But it's was a good time

This tasks was the hardest task, since I came here.
2 minutes were long, I had nothing much to say, and I'm not a person who looks good on camera.
I think I started when it was bright outside, but my shot that I uploaded ended up with dark outside.
I think I can do it more better now (although, I know I won’t).
But it was a very good experience!

Although I'm not completely happy with the results of my self introduction video, this was an amazing experience and a good start. I now want to perfect my video so that I have a current accounting of my experience.

I found that it helped videoing in the morning when I was fresh and in a professional setting - my office. My next attempt I hope to be more relaxed and include more specifics about my accomplishments.

I found that this assignment addressed issues such as self confidence and public speaking. Areas that are always good to build upon. Thanks!

It was the first time I made a self-introduction video, and it was still so funny making it.
Although hard to keep concentrated, I had fun ! ^^

Hi Dr. Guignard

Making a video is very easy. You can make a video using just your cell phone. You can also find a camera for less than a $100. Just press “tape” and upload. The file must be in digital format. You can find instruction anywhere on the Web. When connecting to more than one computer on a network it becomes peer-to-peer (P2P). In today’s world before you buy a music video you can watch it on sites like Yahoo Music Video to see if you like it first. You can also build your own video collection. Video is very powerful. Back in the days, you would have to buy a complete music video just for one song. Today you can get just the music video you want for about $1.99. If, as the old saying goes, “A picture is worth 1,000 words,” a video must be worth millions. It is a very powerful form of media.

Hey Jenn,

It is not the first time I have to do such a video so I was comfortable with shooting it at home. It is even easier than what I would have thought..
Last time I had to record myself this way it was to present in front of a jury to pass the tests prior to acceptance in my school, so the pressure was higher than for this one.

Thanks for the tips you gave us for the Video.

Thanks for the information :) I liked doing it, as I tried to do it many times, it finally became kind of easy. Plus, it was a good way to think of how to introduce myself quickly to someone. In case of an interview I really think it's interesting to know how to "sale yourself", and it's something that needs to be thought about before going for an interview! It's a good practice!

Hi,Dr.G

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to show myself to everyone via the video.Unfortunately,I'm poor.I was disappointed to see my first video resume.
Undoubtedly,I do a bad job! But,I spent so much time to prepare my video content and paid more attention on my working experience in the video. Finally, when I practiced,I found it's too long and I had to shorten the time, which i exactly hated to do.I cannot be freely when I was in front the camera, which resulted my bad work.

I will take a new one and post it online this week.I hope a brand new Candy will appear! Please you guys check out and comment!

Hey Dr. G.,

recording myself was kind of weird, I am used to see myself in the mirror but that's it usually.

I was failed my clothes, but it gave me and my friends some good laughs :-)
