A sneak peek ahead

Hello Class

In the coming weeks I will spend some time briefly introducing you to a list of "cool" social media tools.  These are tools that you will NOT be required to join but that I want to make you aware of.  While not everything is for everyone, I'm sure that there is something for everyone...

One of these tools that I will touch on is Pinterest, the best way I can describe it is that it is a "virtual" bulletin board.  I personally love bulletin boards so I'm looking forward to making the switch to a "virtual" board which surely will help reduce my cluttered "real-life" bulletin board.  I recognize that this may not be of interest to everyone, and that is ok too!

This was a fairly new start-up and previously a beta but it is now quickly growing.  If you fill out the request for invitation in the link I provided, you should get a reply back within 24 hours or so.  Personally, I'm trying something new with Pinterest so I will show you how I use it in class.  In the meantime, I hope that it might help inspire some of you!
